‘We are very happy to trade Kuldeep in exchange for Rishabh Pant…’, LSG Global Director Tom Moody said a big thing

Rishabh Pant: A trade deal has been struck just after the end of the IPL 2026 season. A big trade has been completed between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants regarding Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav. Former Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is returning to Delhi Capitals. Kuldeep Yadav has now become a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). This is considered to be the first and successful trade before IPL 2027. Now the statement of Global Director of Cricket of Lucknow Super Giants Tom Moody regarding Rishabh Pant has come out.

LSG Global Director Tom Moody sent a message to Pant

Tom Moody said, “It has been fantastic to have Rishabh with Lucknow Super Giants and I would like to thank him for his contribution to the franchise as both a player and captain over the last two seasons. As part of this trade with Delhi Capitals, we are extremely pleased to welcome Kuldeep Yadav to Lucknow Super Giants.

LSG is happy about Kuldeep Yadav

He further added, “Kuldeep is a world-class spinner with excellent IPL and international experience, and we believe he will add real quality, versatility and match-winning ability to our team. It is also a great opportunity for Kuldeep to return to his home state of Uttar Pradesh and represent LSG.

Rishabh Pant suffered a loss of Rs 12 crores

Rishabh Pant has returned to Delhi Capitals, from where he started his IPL career. However, due to this trade deal, Pant has to suffer a loss of Rs 12 crore. In the mega auction of IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants surprised everyone by buying Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore, with which Pant became the most expensive player in IPL history, but now a trade deal worth Rs 15 crore has been made between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants regarding Pant, which means Pant has suffered a direct loss of Rs 12 crore. Pant captained Delhi Capitals in 43 matches in 4 seasons from 2021 to 2024 and he has played a total of 9 seasons for this team. Now Pant will also spend his 10th IPL season with Delhi Capitals. Now it remains to be seen how Pant performs in DC.

Kuldeep Yadav did not get any benefit from the trade deal

Kuldeep Yadav will now be seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants. There is no impact on his fees due to this trade deal and he has joined the Lucknow team at his current price of Rs 13.50 crore. His performance for Delhi Capitals was excellent. After becoming a part of Delhi in the year 2022, Kuldeep became the main player of the team, where he took a total of 72 wickets in 65 matches. Now he will spread the magic of his spin for Lucknow Super Giants from the next season.
