Delhi: In their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had to face defeat by 6 wickets against Delhi Capitals (DC). After the match, while other players were seen talking to Delhi Capitals players, Sanjiv Goenka had a deep discussion with Pant and Langer. During the conversation, Goenka was seen explaining something, while Pant also expressed his views strongly. The video of this conversation quickly went viral on social media and people linked it to an earlier similar incident, when KL Rahul was the captain of the team and after the defeat, he was reprimanded by Goenka.
Rizvi and Stubbs played important roles in the victory of Delhi Capitals.
In this match, Delhi Capitals had a target of 142 runs to win. The team faced difficulties in the initial overs, but the excellent partnership of Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs changed the course of the match. Together they made a partnership of 119 runs, which led Delhi to victory.
