It does not seem appropriate to celebrate one’s birthday when the lamps in the homes of many families have been extinguished. It is with this deep sense of condolence and grief that I have decided that tomorrow, June 25, I will not celebrate my birthday. This day will be dedicated to the sacred memory of those deceased innocent children and tribute and condolences to their bereaved families.

Deputy CM further wrote, I pray to Lord Sri Hari to grant a place at His feet to all the children who died in this extremely heart-wrenching, painful and unfortunate incident, give strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense sorrow and provide full recovery to the injured soon.
