The actor expressed his condolences to the families who have lost their children.

A fire broke out in a three-storey building on Monday afternoon and the flames quickly spread to the upper floors. Firefighters rushed to the spot and rescue operations were started to safely evacuate the trapped people, but many lives could not be saved. Sonu Sood expressed grief over the incident on Twitter.

Classrooms, he wrote, weave dreams, not the end of children’s lives. The Lucknow fire has broken my heart. So many little lives, so many dreams. Future executives, artists, leaders and changemakers, whose journeys ended prematurely before they began. The pain of families who have lost their children cannot be described in words. My prayers are with them and all who are struggling to recover from this shock. We need to give these children more than our tears. We need to give them a safe place and strict security measures, so that such an accident never happens again.”

People have expressed grief over Sonu Sood’s post. He wrote, “The news in Lucknow has shaken us. Many dreams have been left unfulfilled, many homes have lost light. May God give courage to the affected families and speedy recovery to the injured. It is time to wake up. Classrooms should be lit by hope, not by fire. There is no compromise on classroom safety.”

It must be noted that after the fire broke out in the coaching center, there was panic among many students trapped in the building. According to police, eight fire tenders were dispatched to the spot and the firemen broke the walls of the building and rescued over 20 students, who were trapped.
