Lucknow Metro launches National Common Mobility Card
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) service on Tuesday. With this new card, you will be able to travel in other metros of the country including Kanpur, Agra.
The journey of metro passengers will now become even smarter. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has launched the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) service on Tuesday. Based on the concept of one country one card, this card will provide 10 percent discount on fare on every journey. Apart from Kanpur, Agra Metro, it can be used to travel in other metros of the country.
On Tuesday, UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar inaugurated the facility. Told that NCMC can be built at any metro station. Its main advantage is that it is an interoperable transport card. Apart from Metro, it can also be used in bus, parking and retail services where NCMC has been adopted.
He said that at present, travel can be done through both the already running Go Smart Card and the new NCMC. Along with this, passengers were advised to utilize the available balance in their old Go Smart Card. UPMRC will soon launch a special exchange window through which passengers will be able to exchange their GO Smart Card at NCMC within 30 days without any extra charges.
Special features of NCMC
Available at Airtel Payment Bank counters and kiosks at all stations.
Card issue fee Rs 100 (non-refundable).
Card will be issued through OTP verification on mobile phone without KYC.
The card can be recharged through ticket vending machine, Lucknow Metro app, Airtel app, debit/credit card and UPI.
Various banks also issue NCMC.
There will be no need to purchase separate tickets on NCMC issued from 23 banks or other metros.
Will also be used in metro, buses, parking, retail services accepting NCMC.
