Here a Kaliyugi elder brother brutally murdered his own younger brother by hitting him with an iron rod while he was sleeping. The only reason for the incident was that the younger brother had forbidden the elder brother from abusing the mother. On Monday morning, when the mother went to wake up her son, the ground slipped beneath her feet after seeing a blood soaked body on the bed.

Bloody brawl started due to drunkenness

The matter is of Khandedev village of Banthra police station area. According to the information, at around 9:30 pm on Sunday night, elder brother Shravan Gautam (30) and younger brother Alok alias Golu (24) were at home. Both of them had consumed alcohol. While eating food, Shravan started abusing his mother Yashoda. On this, Alok protested and said, “Don’t abuse mother, you are elder so I don’t want to raise my hand.” There was a scuffle between the two over this matter, which was calmed down by the mother’s intervention and they were sent to sleep separately.

Attacked with a rod while sleeping

After the dispute, Alok went to sleep in his room, while Shravan went to the terrace. But the fire of revenge was burning in Shravan’s mind. At around 11 pm, when Alok was in deep sleep, Shravan came down secretly and took a heavy iron rod and hit Alok on the head. The attack was so strong that Alok did not even get a chance to recover and he died in agony on his bed.

When mother removed the sheet in the morning, she screamed

When mother Yashoda came to wake up her younger son Alok around 5:30 am on Monday, he was lying motionless covered with a sheet. When there was no movement even after calling several times, as soon as the mother removed the sheet from his face, her heart shuddered after seeing the scene there. Alok’s entire face and head were soaked in blood. Hearing the mother’s scream, the neighbors came running and immediately informed the police.

Police arrested the accused brother

Banthra police station in-charge Rana Rajesh Singh said that as soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and took the accused Shravan into custody. According to the police, he was drunk even at the time of his arrest. Police have registered a case of murder against Shravan on the complaint of the deceased’s mother Yashoda Devi and have sent the body for postmortem. The father of the deceased died 8 years ago.

“One died, the other went to jail… now who will be the support?”

Mother Yashoda is in bad condition due to crying. He told that he had raised his three sons with great difficulty by working as laborers so that they would support him in his old age. But alcohol turned his house into ruins. Now the younger son is no more in this world, the elder is behind the bars and the middle brother is mentally weak.
