Yogi government is giving another chance to the students, the deadline for joining the scholarship has been extended.

Yogi Adityanath government is continuously trying to increase the level of education in the state. Under this, it is giving better options to the students. On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Social Welfare Department has extended the deadline for joining the post-10th scholarship scheme operated under the academic session 2025–26. Eligible students who were deprived due to non-locking of master data have been given a second opportunity. The department has released the changed timetable.

This revised system will be equally applicable to the students of General Category, Other Backward Classes, Minority Category along with Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category. The aim of the Yogi Adityanath government is to ensure that no eligible student should stay away from education due to financial reasons.

Time bound process with transparency

According to Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun, the revised program has been a concrete initiative to make the scholarship process more transparent, error-free and time-bound. With this, eligible students will be able to get the benefits of the scheme on time.

Verification of Master Data Lock

According to Anand Kumar Singh, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department, under the revised programme, educational institutions will prepare the master data by January 2, 2026. Universities and affiliating agencies are going to verify the number of students along with fees by January 9. Final verification regarding master data and fees will be completed by 15 January 2026.

What will be the application process?

The verification date has been fixed separately for general, OBC and minority categories. Students can apply online till 14 January 2026. The hard copy along with the necessary records will be submitted to the educational institutions by 21 January 2026. After this there will be verification. University level will be till 27 January, student verification will be from 28 January to 7 February 2026 and data scrutiny by NIC will be till 9 February 2026.

Relief to Scheduled Castes/Tribes

Students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Tribe category will have to apply by 31 March 2026. After completion of all the processes, the final payment will be made by June 22, 2026.
