Lucknow’s daughters became overall champions in weightlifting, scored highest marks in all three categories of the competition
Lucknow, Read: Lucknow’s women’s team became the overall champion in the state level youth, junior and senior category men’s and women’s weightlifting championship held in Modinagar, Ghaziabad. Women players scored the highest marks in Youth, Junior and Senior categories. Scored 76 marks in Youth category, 84 marks in Junior category and 107 marks in Senior category.
In the senior category, Kalpana Yadav won the bronze medal in the 86 kg weight category and in the youth category, Tanishka Kanojia won the gold medal in the more than 77 kg weight category. In 58 kg weight category, Sunita Verma won bronze medals in all three categories, Youth, Junior and Senior.
In 48 kg category, Neha Singh won bronze medal in both junior and senior categories. Rajnandini Singh also won bronze medal in 86 kg weight category in junior category. Regional Sports Officer Atul Sinha, Lucknow Weightlifting Association Secretary Ranjit Singh and coach Arvind Kushwaha congratulated the winning players and wished them a bright future.
