Film producer Harshvardhan and Kannada actress Chaitra R got married in the year 2023 with the consent of the family. In the beginning everything was normal, but gradually domestic differences started increasing between them. About seven-eight months ago, both of them decided to live separately. Conspiracy hatched in the name of shooting

On 7 December 2025, Chaitra told his family that he had to go to Mysore for shooting, but the family did not know its real purpose. It is alleged that this shooting was only part of a conspiracy. It is being said that Harshvardhan got this fake shooting arranged through his friend Kaushik and Chaitra was also given an advance of Rs 20,000.

Kidnapping from metro station

According to the FIR, Chaitra was called to Mysore Road metro station at around 8 am on December 7. Harshvardhan, Kaushik and another person allegedly forced him into the car and took him somewhere via NICE Road and Biddi.

Threat of release of mother in exchange of child

By evening the matter became more serious. It is alleged that Harshvardhan called Chaitra’s mother and clearly said that if the girl was not brought to him, Chaitra would not be released. A similar message was also given to another relative, in which it was asked to bring the girl to Arsikere.

Phone switched off and increasing anxiety

When the family tried to contact Chaitra, their phone was found switched off. During this period, the family’s worries continued to increase. There was a delay in filing the complaint because the complainant was in Tiptur at that time and could lodge the complaint with the police only after returning to Bengaluru.

Police engaged in investigation

Police have registered a case of kidnapping and criminal intimidation against Harshvardhan, Kaushik and another accused. Officials say that the entire incident is being investigated seriously and all aspects are being scrutinized.
