Luxury SUV: Mini Countryman C’s entry in India, know 5-star safety rating and high-tech features

Luxury SUV: Premium car manufacturer MINI India has launched the new Mini Countryman C in the Indian market. The company has fixed its starting ex-showroom price at Rs 47.5 lakh. The special thing is that this SUV will be locally assembled in India, due to which its price has been kept quite competitive compared to the company’s imported performance SUV Countryman JCW All4.

Bookings for the new MINI Countryman C have started and it will be manufactured at BMW Group’s plant in Chennai. With this launch, MINI is trying to strengthen its hold in the premium compact SUV segment in India, where it will compete with luxury SUVs like BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Audi Q3.

Attractive and modern design
The new Countryman C has been introduced with a completely new design. It has a wide stance, clean body lines and strong SUV appeal.

The SUV has a new octagonal front grille, adaptive LED headlamps, matrix LED taillamps, customizable DRL signature, 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, champagne finish exterior elements and contrast roof design. Its ground clearance is 190 mm, which is considered suitable for Indian roads.

Premium and hi-tech cabin
The interior of the new MINI Countryman C is equipped with modern technology and premium features. It has features like 9.4-inch round OLED touchscreen, MINI Operating System 9, “Hey MINI” voice assistant, wireless charging, head-up display, 360-degree camera, 12-speaker audio system by Harman Kardon, panoramic glass roof and MINI Digital Key Plus. Apart from this, massage function is also provided in the driver seat.

Engine and Performance
The SUV has a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which generates 156hp power and 240Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and its top speed is 212 km/h. According to the company, its mileage is 15.92 km/litre.

Safety and practicality
The MINI Countryman C has received a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. It has been provided with features like multiple airbags, parking assist and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The rear seats can be slid up to 130 mm and reclined up to 25 degrees. At the same time, boot space can be increased from 505 liters to 1450 liters.

The new MINI Countryman C will attract customers who are looking for a distinctive design, premium features and a distinctive MINI driving experience in the luxury SUV segment.
