Macron comes to help Lebanon, France will give a package of 100 million euros

Paris: France has come forward to help Lebanon. French President Emmanuel Macron said at an international conference here on Thursday that his country will provide an aid package of 100 million euros, or 108 million dollars, to help Lebanon.

Macron said there was an urgent need for comprehensive assistance for the people of Lebanon, including both the thousands of people displaced by the war and the communities sheltering them.

2500 people have died

More than one million people have been displaced in Lebanon due to the war between Hezbollah and Israel. 2500 people have died. The economic crisis has deepened.

The United Nations has stated the need for assistance of $ 426 million for Lebanon. France also wants to help restore Lebanon's sovereignty and strengthen its institutions. (agency)
