Madhya Pradesh High Court cancels anticipatory bail of Tvisha’s mother-in-law Giribala
Tvisha Sharma was found hanging in her in-laws’ house on May 12.
Jabalpur. Madhya Pradesh High Court has canceled the anticipatory bail of Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law and former judge Giribala Singh in the death case. The High Court has canceled the anticipatory bail order of the Bhopal District Court. Advocate Srivastava said, after being in judicial service for 36 years, if Giribala has any respect for the law, then I think he should gracefully surrender before the CBI and cooperate with the investigating agency in the further investigation.
The lawyers argued that the Bhopal district court had granted bail to Giribala within 24 hours even though the case was in the initial stage and important statements had not been recorded. He said that Tvisha’s WhatsApp chat and case diary clearly mention torture but these were also ignored.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur had reserved its verdict on the petitions of Samarth Singh’s mother and retired judge Giribala Singh canceling the anticipatory bail. In the afternoon, a Bhopal court sent Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh to the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), after which the central agency took him to his home and interrogated him.
Tvisha Sharma was allegedly found hanging in her in-laws’ house in Katara Hills area of the capital Bhopal on May 12. The CBI took over the investigation into Sharma’s death on Monday. After taking over the case, CBI has again filed an FIR, in which Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh have been named as accused.
