MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15 OS will work on multiple applications and will use MagicLM i.e. Honor's proprietary language model. The company has claimed that MagicLM will understand natural language as well as computer vision. It will also learn your habits and be context aware. Users will be able to interact with MagicLM just as they would a human assistant.
MagicLM is expected to reduce power consumption by 80% and loading speeds are 77% faster. This simply means that there will be a reduction of 1.8 GB in storage and 1.6 GB less RAM consumption. MagicOS 9.0 also offers the industry's first AI deepfake detection feature that protects against scams and keeps users safe. New features available on MagicOS 9.0 include Versatile Desktop, Magic Lock Screen, and Magic Style. The OS also brings AI Gallery, AI Eraser, Face Restoration, and AI Image Expansion.
MagicOS 9.0 is expected to arrive globally in the early months of 2025. The international launch will take place on Magic7 devices. On the other hand, about three dozen devices in China will get the new update (starting in November 2024).
