On Friday, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani met the Trustees and officials of the Gorakhpur-based Gita Press– India’s largest publisher of Hindu religious texts and scriptures– and said his company will present ‘Aarti Sangrah’ to 1 crore devotees at Maha Kumbh 2025.
Maha Kumbh 2025: Billionaire Gautam Adani-led Adani Group has partnered with Gita Press, Gorakhpur to distribute one crore free copies of ‘Aarti Sangrah’ to devotees at the Maha Kumbh 2025 which is set to begin in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj from Monday January 13.
On Friday, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani met the Trustees and officials of the Gorakhpur-based Gita Press– India’s largest publisher of Hindu religious texts and scriptures– and said his company will present ‘Aarti Sangrah’ to 1 crore devotees heading to the holy city’s Sangam for the Shahi Snan, during the auspicious period, IANS reported.
“It is a matter of immense satisfaction for us that in this Mahayagna, with the cooperation of the esteemed institution Gita Press, we are offering one crore copies of ‘Aarti Sangrah’ free of cost to the devotees who have come to Kumbh,” Gautam Adani wrote on X, while sharing pictures of his meeting with Gita Press Trustees.
Adani, one of the wealthiest men in the world, with a net worth of $57.1 billion, also showered praises on Gita Press saying he was “inspired by meeting the respected officials of Gita Press who have been serving the nation for 100 years through Sanatan literature”.
“I had the privilege of expressing my gratitude to the excellent service work of Gita Press”, the business tycoon added.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Adani Group had joined hands with International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to serve meals to lakhs of devotees and pilgrims arriving in Prayagraj for the Shahi Snan and Kumbh Mela.
As per a statement, the Adani Group will offer meals to over 50 lakh devotees under its ‘Mahaprasad Seva’ initiative for the entire duration of the Maha Kumbh Mela which begins on January 13. The meals will be prepared in two kitchens in and outside the Mela area, and will be distributed at 40 places in the Maha Kumbh area, the group said, adding that 2,500 volunteers will be involved in the effort.
The annual Maha Kumbh fair, the world’s largest religious gathering, will begin in UP’s Prayagraj from January 13.
