Mahabharata broke out after checking mobile, wife strangled her husband with dupatta
A 20-year-old woman strangled her husband to death with a dupatta in Delhi’s Jagatpuri area. The husband suspected his wife of having an affair with someone else, due to which he snatched her mobile phone at night. There was a fight between the two on this matter and the wife killed the husband. Within a few hours, the police arrested the accused wife Alisha from a nearby Gurudwara.
This incident took place in Rashid Market area of Delhi. At around 3:52 am on July 2, the police received a PCR call in which it was reported that a woman was strangulating her husband. As soon as the information was received, the police team immediately reached the spot. There 20 year old Mustaqeem alias Sahil was found unconscious. The police took him to Dr. Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After this, on the complaint of the deceased’s mother, Jagatpuri police station registered a case of murder and started investigating the matter.

There was a fight over mobile phone
During police interrogation, accused wife Alisha told that her husband Mustaqeem suspected her that she was having an affair with someone else. Due to this suspicion, Mustaqeem took his mobile phone at night and started searching for evidence in it. An argument started between the two regarding this matter. The dispute escalated so much that Mustaqeem assaulted his wife.
Alisha retaliated angrily on her husband’s assault. She told that during the fight she grabbed her husband and she sat on his chest. After this he strangled Mustaqeem with his own scarf until he died. After some time, when Mustaqeem’s mother came into the room, Alisha had run away from there.

After killing her husband, Alisha hid in a nearby Gurudwara to escape from the police. The police team conducted forensic investigation of the incident site, recorded statements of witnesses and with the help of evidence arrested Alisha from the Gurudwara. Alisha has confessed to her crime during police interrogation. Police have also recovered the scarf used in the murder and are taking further action.
