first verse

 

Ome to Kalti, Ome Shanti, Ome to the gentle.
Obeisance to the form of the form of Kali, O form of Kali.

 

Meaning :

 

O Goddess Kali! Hello to you again and again.
You are an embodiment of peace and also give grace even in your fierce form.
I salute every aspect of yours.

 

second verse

 

The power of creation, position and destruction in the eternal being.
O Narayani, dependent on the modes, O Narayani, I offer my obeisances unto Thee.

 

Meaning :

 

O Goddess of the eternal power!
You are the energy that creates, sustains and destroys the universe.
You are the basis of all three gunas (Sattva, Raja, Tama).

third verse

 

Everything is always terrible for the destruction of the enemy.
O Devi Kali is the color of camphor and is to be remembered as Siddhida.

 

Meaning :

 

O goddess with a golden face!
Enemies are destroyed just by remembering you.
You give success and victory to the devotees who remember you.

 

fourth verse

 

The protection of the devotees to restrain the wicked.
Make Kali, the mother of the universe, in the form of a terrible form.

 

Meaning :

 

O Goddess Kali, the nurse of the world!
You assume a fierce form to punish the wicked and follow the devotees.
Always protect us.

 

fifth verse

 

The sword, the spear, the terrible, the transcendent, the transcendental.
Kalaratri is the great fortress of Kali and is beautiful in camphor.

 

Meaning :

 

Goddess holding sword and trident!
You are beyond qualities, the night of time (extremely powerful) and Mahadurga.
Your form, bright and divine like camphor, frees us from fear.

 

sixth verse

 

May the goddess of fortune always be present in the form of protection.
Be a terrible face for the relief of all troubles

 

Meaning :

 

O God!
May you always stay with us and protect us.
Shower your blessings from your fierce form to destroy all our troubles.
