Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Before Mahakumbh, the 'three streams' of Ganga become one, lakhs of devotees will take a dip in the Sangam.
Mahakumbh is going to be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh next year i.e. in 2025. The Kumbh Mela, which is going to start from January 13, 2025, has great importance. It is seen as the world's largest religious event. Maha Kumbh starts with the Paush Purnima bath. In such a situation, before the Maha Kumbh, the three streams of Ganga have united. Let us know how?
Maha Kumbh starts with the Paush Purnima bath and the Kumbh festival ends with the last bath on the day of Mahashivratri. Meanwhile, lakhs of devotees will come to this fair and take a dip in the Sangam. Maha Kumbh Mela is held in Prayagraj at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. If religious beliefs are to be believed, bathing in the Sangam washes away sins. With this one attains virtue.
The confluence was divided into three streams
From Shastri Bridge to Sangam in Prayagraj, Ganga was divided into three streams. Due to this, not only the purity of Ganga was being affected, but there were also difficulties in organizing the Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took this as a challenge and sought help from IIT Guwahati. His hard work paid off. Now the river Ganga has once again flowed in a stream and returned to its original form.
To make this plan of making Ganga flow in one stream successful, help was taken from the expert team of IIT Guwahati, in which three huge dredging machines were used in the confluence area. These machines played an important role in connecting the left and right streams of Ganga with the main stream.
