Mahakumbh of AI: From digital characters of Mahabharata to robotic surgery, technology is showing a glimpse of the future.
New Delhi. Such a form of Artificial Intelligence is being seen in the AI Impact Summit organized at Bharat Mandapam in the capital, where technology is going to change not only the industry but also the picture of culture, education and health services. The event is showcasing the practical use of AI through hundreds of demonstrations from Indian and foreign companies.
When the characters of Mahabharata started telling their story
Telecom company Jio has organized a special exhibition here named “Jio Sanskriti – AI of Storytelling and Culture”. In this, the characters of Mahabharata are presented as digital avatars, who themselves communicate with the audience.
Viewers can ask questions to these hologram characters created through ‘Holo Tube’ technology. For example, when asked about the identity of a true warrior, Arjun, present in digital form, answers with classical references.
These avatars first communicate in Sanskrit and then a Hindi translation is heard—resulting in a unique confluence of tradition and technology.
Similarly, when asked a question on concentration, Arjun answers by mentioning the teachings of Lord Krishna. This experience gives viewers a new way to understand ancient knowledge through a modern medium.
AI in healthcare: Machine intelligence reaches operation theater
The summit also showcased AI-enabled robotic surgery systems, which will be able to help doctors in complex operations in the future.
Experts believe that such systems can play an important role in increasing access to treatment in remote areas, where specialist doctors are not available.
AI-based surgery technology is being seen as a solution that can ensure greater accuracy, lower risks and better recovery in difficult cases.
Entry of AI in smart cities and security also
The expo also showcased AI-enabled cameras that can work effectively even in areas with extreme temperatures—like Jaisalmer. These can be used in surveillance, crime control and enhancing public safety.
Additionally, solutions to make multimedia delivery systems, smart logistics and urban services faster and efficient through AI were also presented.
The event will continue till February 20, more than 300 exhibitions
AI Impact Summit will continue till 20 February.
The event features nearly 300 exhibits and more than 3,250 speakers and panelists discussing the transformative impact of AI across diverse sectors—healthcare, education, security, logistics and cultural preservation.
This summit shows that AI is not just a technology of the future, but a tool of the present that is digitalizing tradition in India and opening doors to new possibilities, from hospitals to smart cities.
