Lucknow, 6 December. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that the parties following the policy of appeasement are not only harming India but are also insulting Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
In a program organized by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahasabha Trust on Mahaparinirvan Day of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Yogi said that often some mischievous elements try to damage the statues, hence our government in Uttar Pradesh is going to take an important decision that wherever the statues of Baba Saheb are installed, arrangements will be made to protect those statues by building boundary walls. Besides, a canopy will also be installed over the idols, which will ensure the safety of the idol of Baba Saheb.
CM Yogi referred to the statement of Dr. Nirmal, in which he said that class IV, contract and sanitation workers should get proper honorarium. Yogi said, “Our government has formed a corporation. Within the next one or two months, the government will provide guarantee of minimum honorarium to class IV, contract and sanitation workers.” The Chief Minister said, “We feel proud of the Constitution and Baba Saheb. Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had made us aware of the dangers even at that time.”
Referring to the senior Congress leader, Yogi said that while being the President, he had refused to sing Vande Mataram in 1923. When his last moments came, he expressed his wish to die in Jerusalem. Then Baba Saheb had commented that the statement of a person who, despite being born in India and enjoying the facilities here, does not consider the land of India as sacred, can never be in the interest of the people of India.
The guests were welcomed by Ambedkar Mahasabha President Legislative Council member Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Aseem Arun, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, State President of Ambedkar Mahasabha Pramod Kumar, General Secretary Amarnath Prajapati, Treasurer Satya Dohre etc. were present.
