Assembly elections will be held in Maharashtra on 20 November. Yesterday (29 October) was the last day for filing nomination papers for this election. In this election, the parties included in the Grand Alliance (Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress (Ajit Pawar) and BJP), which has been ruling the state for years, are once again contesting the elections in an alliance. Similarly, Shiv Sena (Uddhav), Nationalist Congress (Sharath Pawar) and Congress are contesting the elections again in Maha Vikas Akadi alliance known as MVA. In such a situation, yesterday was the last day for filing nominations, hence there was a lot of hustle and bustle in the offices of political parties.

Similarly, the BJP, which is part of the Mahayudi alliance, had initially announced that it would contest on 150 seats. But now the party is contesting elections on only 146 seats. BJP has allotted 4 seats out of its reserved seats to small parties like Yuva Swabhiman Party, Rashtriya Samaj Pak Shah, Republican Party of India (Adawale), Jan Surajya Shakti Pak Shah.

In such a situation, names of two BJP leaders have been included in the list of candidates of Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena party and this has created a situation of confusion. BJP spokesperson N.C. It has been announced that Shaina will contest from Mumbaidevi constituency and Amol Kadal will contest from Sangamnar constituency on behalf of Shiv Sena.

After this, Shiv Sena (Eknath) and Nationalist Congress parties (Ajit Pawar) are contesting in a total of 138 constituencies. Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde will have 80 candidates. Like BJP, Shiv Sena has also given one seat each to Jan Suraj Party and Rajshree Shakuprakash Akathi Party.

Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress is contesting on the remaining 58 seats. Nominations have been filed yesterday by all the parties. Meanwhile, in the Maha Vikas Akadi alliance, Congress has fielded candidates on 103 seats, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) on 87 seats and Nationalist Congress (Sharath Pawar) on 82 seats. Along with this, 3 major parties are contesting elections in 272 constituencies.

But till the end there was excitement about who would get the remaining 16 seats. Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party is likely to get these seats. Earlier it was announced that Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress and Congress would contest on 85 seats each. But on the last day there was a change in the number of constituencies being contested. In such a situation, alternative candidates from all the parties had filed their nomination papers in the respective constituencies. Even on the last day of filing nominations, there was confusion among the political parties in Maharashtra, due to which there was dissatisfaction among the volunteers.
