Mumbai. Amidst Maharashtra Assembly Elections, NCP SP chief Sharad Pawar has indicated that he will not contest any election now. Sharad Pawar said that we will have to stop somewhere. This big statement of Sharad Pawar has come out before the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Sharad Pawar said that 'I do not want to contest any election. Regarding elections, I should stop now and the new generation should come forward. Former Union Minister and veteran leader of Maharashtra politics Sharad Pawar said that till now I have contested elections 14 times, I do not want power, I just want to work for the society.

Sharad Pawar said during his Baramati visit that I am not in power. I am in Rajya Sabha. I still have one and a half years left. After one and a half years, I will have to think whether to go to Rajya Sabha or not. I will not contest Lok Sabha. I will not contest any election. How many elections should be fought? So far 14 elections have been held. You didn't make me sit at home even once. Every time they are electing me, there must be a pause somewhere. I have started working on the formula that the new generation should now come forward.
