Maharashtra elections: BJP releases second list of 22 candidates

Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second list of 22 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections on Saturday, confirming its support for sitting MLA Devayani Pharande in the Nashik Central constituency, putting an end to speculation regarding the seat.

The elections for the 288-member Maharashtra assembly are set to take place on November 20, with the results expected to be announced on November 23. Among the three partners in the Mahayuti alliance, both the BJP and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have issued two candidate lists each, while Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released one so far.

Who got the ticket from where?

The party has fielded Ram Bhadane from Dhule Rural, Chainsukh Sancheti from Malkapur, Prakash Shringla from Akot, Vijay Agarwal from Akola West, Shyam Khoday from Washim, Kewalram Kale from Melghat, Milind Narote from Gadchiroli, Devram Bhogle from Rajula, Krishnalal Sahare from Brahmapuri. , Karan Deotale from Warora, and Devyani Pharande from Nashik Central.

On the other hand, Harishchandra Bhoye is the candidate from Vikramgad, Kumar Ailanai from Ulhasnagar, Ravindra Patil from Kalam, Bhimrao Tapkir from Khadakvasla, Sunil Kamble from Pune Cantonment, Hemant Rasne from Kasba Peth, Ramesh Karad from Latur Rural, Devendra Kothe from Solapur. City Center, Samadhan Awatade from Pandharpur, Satyajit Deshmukh from Shirala, and Gopichand Padalkar from Jat have also been declared as candidates.

BJP’s candidate list expands to 121 seats

The BJP has now announced candidates for a total of 121 seats, adding to its initial list of 99. The Mahayuti alliance, consisting of the BJP, the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, has yet to finalize the seat-sharing arrangements. Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule stated this morning that discussions are still in progress among the three allies regarding the allocation of the final seven to eight seats for the upcoming state assembly elections next month.
