Questions raised on society and lift safety
After this incident, once again questions have been raised on the maintenance of lifts and their safety technology in housing societies. Experts say that there are ‘sensors’ in the lift doors. The quality of the pipe must be extremely precise so that it opens immediately if any blockage occurs. This incident in Pimpri-Chinchwad has given a lesson to the parents that while taking the children in the lift, always hold their hands and stay away from the edges of the door.
