Maharashtra polls: MNS fields candidates on 45 seats; Amit Thackeray from Mahim

New Delhi: Maharashtra Navnirman Party (MNS) on Tuesday released the first list of 45 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. The list also includes the name of MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray, who has been fielded from Mahim assembly seat. Amit Thackeray is the second member of the Thackeray family who is entering electoral politics. Earlier, Aditya Thackeray was the first person from the Thackeray family who entered electoral politics in 2019.

MNS has announced Sandeep Deshpande as its candidate from Worli. Worli is the seat from where Aditya Thackeray is the current MLA. There is every likelihood of him contesting from Worli in these polls as well. In such a situation, he will face Sandeep Deshpande on this seat.

Avina Jadhav gets ticket from Thane city

The party has declared Shirish Sawant from Bhandup West constituency, Avinash Jadhav from Thane city, Sangeeta Chendvankar from Murbad constituency as its candidates. In Pune, Kishore Shinde from Kothrud, Sainath Babar from Hadapsar, Mayuresh Wanjale from Khadakvasla, Nayan Kadam from Magathane, Kunal Mankar from Borivali, Rajesh Yerunkar from Dahisar constituency, Bhaskar Parab from Dindoshi, Sandesh Desai from Versova constituency have been given tickets.

Virendra Jadhav will contest from Goregaon

Mahesh Farkase from Kandivali East seat, Virendra Jadhav from Goregaon, Dinesh Salvi from Charkop, Bhalchandra Ambure from Jogeshwari East, Vishnujit Dholam from Vikhroli, Ganesh Chukkal from Ghatkopar West, Sandeep Kulthe from Ghatkopar East have been declared candidates.

Earlier, Raj Thackeray announced that the MNS will go solo in the November 20 assembly elections.
