Maharashtra polls: Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena declares new list, Shaina NC to contest

Mumbai: The Shinde-led Shiv Sena has announced an additional list of candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections, naming 13 candidates from its faction alongside candidates from two allied parties. BJP leader and spokesperson Shaina NC has been nominated for the Mumba Devi seat, with Amol Khatal fielded from Sangamner and Bhausaheb Malhari Kanwale from Shrirampur.

Sanjana Jadhav, daughter of senior BJP leader Raosaheb Danve and a recent Shiv Sena recruit, has been named the candidate for the Kannada seat. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sujay Vikhe Patil, who aspired to run from Ahmednagar, saw his hopes dashed as Shiv Sena announced its own candidate for the seat.
