Shiv Sena releases 2nd list, fields Milind Deora against Aaditya Thackeray from Worli

Mumbai: Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has announced its second list of 20 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Among the nominees, Sanjay Nirupam is set to contest from Dindoshi, while Nilesh Rane, son of Narayan Rane, has been given a ticket from Kudal. The party has also fielded Murji Patel from Andheri East and Rajendra Gavit from Palghar.

The list includes Milind Deora, who will face off against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray in Worli. A former Union minister during the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government, Deora left Congress and joined the  Shiv Sena in January this year.

Bhavana Gawali’s political career takes a new turn

Recently, Bhavana Gawli joined the Legislative Council after winning a seat. However, she expressed dissatisfaction for not being given an opportunity in the Lok Sabha. In an effort to address her concerns, Eknath Shinde offered her a chance in the Legislative Council. Ultimately, Bhavana Gawli has now been declared the candidate for Risod.

A few days ago, Bhavana Gawli was appointed to the Legislative Council, where she emerged victorious. However, it came to light that she was upset over not being given a chance to contest in the Lok Sabha. To alleviate her frustration, Eknath Shinde offered her the opportunity in the Legislative Council. Ultimately, Bhavana Gawli has now been declared the candidate for Risod.

On October 23, the Shiv Sena announced its first list of 45 candidates for the upcoming elections. The party has nominated Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the candidate for the Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency, which he has represented since 2009.
