Mastermind of Maharashtra TET paper leak arrested from Bihar, was dodging the police for many months

Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: The investigating agencies have got a big success in the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case. The alleged paper leak mafia Bijendra Gupta, who was absconding for a long time, has finally been caught by the police. A special team of Maharashtra Police conducted a raid and arrested him from Bihar. During this action, along with Bijendra, another associate has also been detained. After this big success of the police, it is now hoped that many layers of the web of paper leaks spread in different parts of the country can be exposed.

Efforts to arrest him were going on for months.

According to Maharashtra Police officials, Bijendra Gupta was evading arrest by continuously changing his location for the last several months. To catch him, police teams were continuously conducting raids in many states from Maharashtra to Bihar and nearby states. Every time he was cleverly successful in dodging the police. Taking the investigation forward in this case, the police had earlier arrested many people. Even Bijendra Gupta’s wife had already been detained. Despite this, Bijendra himself remained out of the reach of the police and was constantly changing his location.

Wire is connected to many big cases

Bijendra Gupta’s name is not limited to Maharashtra TET only, but his name has been appearing in many big and famous paper leak cases across the country. His name also came into limelight during the NEET paper leak controversy in the year 2024. At that time, in a sting operation conducted by a TV channel, he had allegedly revealed how the paper leaking syndicate works. He had also made many claims regarding the shortcomings in the security arrangements of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Since then the investigating agencies were keeping an eye on him.

Many secrets will be revealed through police interrogation

After the arrest of the main conspirator, now the Maharashtra Police team is preparing to strictly interrogate Bijendra. Police hope that through this inquiry it will be possible to find out from where and how the TET exam paper was leaked. Apart from this, with which people money was transferred to run this entire syndicate and which big officials or centers were involved in it. Police believe that Bijendra’s statements can reveal the names of many other big faces also.

Major action amid students’ demonstration

This arrest of Bijendra Gupta has happened at a very important time. At present, students in different parts of the country are raising their voice regarding the transparency of examinations. Student organizations are continuously protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against the irregularities in NEET and other competitive examinations. Students are demanding that strictest action should be taken against the paper leak syndicate so that the future of any candidate is not played with. At such a time, the arrest of the main accused of Maharashtra TET is being considered a big achievement for the police and investigating agencies.
