Maharashtra Weather Updates | The temperature of summer is increasing day by day in the state, the body is literally getting cold due to the scorching heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for six districts of Maharashtra’s Konkan division. According to the latest forecast on April 11, the temperature of the state is likely to rise significantly. Hot and dry weather is observed in many areas. On the other hand, some parts of western Maharashtra are expected to receive sporadic rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heatwave in 6 coastal districts namely Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Palghar and Ratnagiri. The maximum temperature in these areas is estimated to be between 32°C to 38°C. Although no official warning has been issued for West Maharashtra, light rain with thundershowers is likely in some parts of Satara district. But dry and hot weather is likely to persist in Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune and Solapur districts.

Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts of North Maharashtra are likely to have completely dry weather. Heatstroke is likely to increase as the day temperature increases. Here too, one will experience great heat waves. Maharashtra Weather Updates

In Marathwada division, hot and dry weather is expected to continue in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Latur, Beed, Parbhani and Nanded districts. The temperature here is likely to be between 39°C and 42°C.

Where in Maharashtra one can experience the maximum heat of summer, it is in Vidarbha. Nagpur, Amravati Wardha, Yavatmal, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts are likely to record maximum temperature between 40°C and 45°C. Therefore, citizens should not go out of their homes during the afternoon. Drink plenty of water to protect yourself from the heat. Also, the weather department has given instructions to take necessary precautions.
