Pune-based Indian player Priyanka Ingle shares her journey and how sports has helped her in many ways. “I am from Pune, Maharashtra. I live with my parents and younger brother. My parents are farmers. I started playing Kho-Kho when I was in fifth grade and have been playing for the last 15 years “I used to see girls practicing with their coaches in my school and that's where I got the inspiration to take up the sport,” she said. Priyanka, who plays as an all-rounder, has been an excellent player since childhood. “I played my first national in seventh grade and so far I have played 23 nationals. I was awarded the ILA award during the sub-junior national when I was in eighth grade. I lost the ILA award at the sub-junior national. -Kho is given to the best girl player in the competition.
“At the 2022 Senior Nationals, I was awarded the Rani Lakshmi Bai Award. I also represented India in the 4th Asian Kho-Kho Championship 2022-23, Assam, India, where we won the gold medal,” he said.
