A large number of police forces have been deployed outside the Congress headquarters. Barricading has been done outside the gate. So that workers are not able to go outside the gate. All the Congress leaders garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi inside the office. After a long time, Congress leaders and workers forcibly started marching towards the assembly, but the police did not allow them to proceed. The workers climbed the barricades and started protesting, but the police stopped everyone there. No one was allowed to proceed towards the assembly.

Congress state president Ajay Rai told ETV Bharat that no matter how many of our leaders and workers the government puts under house arrest. No matter how much they try to stop us from surrounding the assembly, we are not going to agree. Our workers will definitely surround the assembly. No power, no police force can stop us.

While talking to ETV Bharat, National General Secretary of Congress and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Avinash Pandey said that for the last 40 days, the Congress Party has been organizing chaupalas and meetings across the state for the restoration of the MNREGA scheme. Today it was announced to surround the assembly. For this reason a large number of workers have arrived. It is difficult for anyone to raise voice in this government. All our leaders and workers have been placed under house arrest. Still, a large number of workers have reached here.

Avinash Pandey said that no matter how much police is deployed. No matter how much barricading is done, it is our pledge that we will definitely come out to surround the assembly and will remain surrounded. The way the government has deployed the police force, it seems as if it is the India-Pakistan border, but neither police nor barricades can stop our workers from moving forward.
