Abhijeet Bhattacharya on Mahatma Gandhi: Famous singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya recently gave a controversial statement regarding Mahatma Gandhi and RD Burman, which created an uproar on social media and public forums. The 66-year-old singer called Mahatma Gandhi the 'Father of the Nation of Pakistan' during a podcast. Apart from this, he described musician RD Burman as 'much bigger' than Gandhiji. Abhijeet Bhattacharya made this statement in Subhankar Mishra's podcast, in which he said many controversial things. Along with commenting on Gandhiji, he also shared his views about Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan, on which the debate has now intensified on social media.

Controversial statement on Mahatma Gandhi

During the podcast, Abhijeet Bhattacharya said, "Mahatma Gandhi was not the Father of the Nation of India, but the Father of the Nation of Pakistan. India was already India. Pakistan was created and Mahatma Gandhi was mistakenly called the Father of the Nation. He was the birth giver, not the father. Dada, Nana, and everything were the same."

Called RD Burman 'Father of the Nation of Music'

Comparing Mahatma Gandhi with musician RD Burman, Abhijeet said, "RD Burman was much older than Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was the Father of the Nation, but RD Burman was the Father of Music."

Said these things for Shahrukh and Salman

In the interview, Abhijeet also gave open statements on Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. Regarding Shahrukh Khan he said, "Bollywood people themselves called him Hakala. Even today it is said." Commenting on Salman Khan he said, "Salman's career depends only on prayers. He is still not at a level where I can discuss him." When Shubhankar Mishra asked that he has sung many songs for Salman Khan, Abhijeet replied, "I don't know for whom I am singing. As soon as I heard the name of Shahrukh Khan, I used to go to sing with preparation."
