Mahhi Vij turns 44, looks sultry in pink outfit, parties with Seher cast; ex-husband Jay skips bash

Popular TV actor Mahhi Vij celebrated her 44th birthday in Mumbai yesterday, with the cast of her TV show Seher. Her daughters, Tara and Khushi, were present; however, her husband, Jay Bhanushali, did not attend the bash.

Several photos from Mahhi Vij’s birthday celebration have gone viral. The pictures show her dressed in a short pink outfit with a plunging neckline. She was also seen kissing her daughter, Tara on the lips. Her Seher Hone Ko Hai co-stars were present as well, including Parth Samthaan, who plays her son-in-law opposite her on-screen daughter Rishita Kothari, among others.

Rishita Kothari wore a pink bralette-style tank top, twinning with her on-screen mother, Mahhi.

Mahhi also shared a birthday post for herself, writing, “Happy birthday to me.” Although her ex-husband, Jay, didn’t attend the bash, he wished her on social media by liking her birthday post.
Many praised Mahhi for her post-breakup glow.

On January 4, Mahhi and Jay Bhanushali, who got married in 2011, announced their separation via a social media post. The statement read: “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s backs. Peace, growth, kindness and humanity have always been our guiding values.”

Mahhi has appeared in numerous music videos, including Tu, Tu Hai Wahi. She was the supporting female lead in the TV series Akela in 2006. Her first film was the Malayalam movie Aparichithan, alongside superstar Mammootty. She later played the lead role of Pratha in Shubh Kadam.

Mahi Vij rose to fame with Nakusha and later was seen in Laagi Tujhse Lagan. She also participated in Season 4 of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. In 2012, she and her former husband Jay Bhanushali won the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5.

In 2016, she played Nandini Shekhawat in Balika Vadhu after the generation leap, until the show went off air the same year.
