Mahindra B07 Electric SUV Launch: The Indian automobile market is rapidly moving towards electric vehicles and now another big entry is being prepared in this race. The country’s leading automobile manufacturer Mahindra is planning to launch its new electric SUV Mahindra B07. Although the company has not yet announced it officially, but from media reports and glimpses seen during testing, it is clear that this model can be an important part of Mahindra’s ‘Born Electric’ range. With a powerful battery, long range and premium features, this SUV can further fuel competition in the Indian market.

Mahindra had given a glimpse of its electric future in the year 2022. The company unveiled its five new electric SUVs at an event held in the UK. These included XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE 05, BE 07 and BE 09. Of these, the BE 07 concept is now being tested as the Mahindra B07. It is believed that this model will be positioned above BE 06, which means it can be a more premium and feature-loaded SUV. In terms of design and technology, it can be presented as the company’s flagship electric SUV.
Mahindra B07 can be built on the company’s special electric platform INGLO. This platform has been specially designed for electric vehicles. The biggest feature of the INGLO platform is that the battery is fitted under the floor in such a way that more space is available in the cabin. Additionally, the center of gravity of the vehicle remains low, making driving more stable and safe. This platform is expected to provide better safety, stronger body structure and the facility to upgrade in future. Mahindra’s other ‘born electric’ SUVs will also be based on the same platform.
Talking about the design of Mahindra B07, a modern and futuristic look can be seen in it. According to the indications received during testing, it can be provided with projector headlamps and C-shaped LED DRL. C-shaped tail lamps at the rear can become its identity. Apart from this, 19 inch large alloy wheels and aerodynamic body design will give it a distinct identity on the road. Overall, this SUV can be designed keeping in mind the young and premium customers.
Talking about the features, Mahindra B07 can be quite ahead in terms of technology. It can get a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, premium features like panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, 360 degree camera, ventilated front seat, driver memory seat and powered tailgate can be provided. For music lovers, it is likely to have Harman Kardon sound system and Dolby Atmos support. Besides, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, OTA update and connected car technology can also be provided. In terms of safety, it is expected to have features like cruise control, dual zone AC, auto headlamp and auto wiper. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can also be added to it in the coming time.

Battery and range, ready for the long haul
Although the company has not yet shared official information related to battery and range, but according to reports, a large battery of about 100 kWh can be given in it. If this happens, then after full charge this SUV can give a range of about 700 to 800 kilometers. Such a long range can make it extremely suitable for long distance travel. It is also expected to have fast charging support, so that the battery can be charged in less time.
Launch timeline and expected price
According to media reports, Mahindra B07 can be launched in India by 2027. However, the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding its launch date or price. In terms of price, it can be kept in the premium segment, where it can compete with the upcoming electric SUVs of Tata, Hyundai and other companies.
