Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Spotted Testing Before Launch [Video]
Mahindra has been working on the facelift of the Scorpio N for quite some time. We have even seen several render images of the SUV online. We have come across multiple test mule images in the past too. Mahindra is expected to launch the Scorpio N facelift in the coming months, and just before the official launch, we have now come across another video where we see a heavily camouflaged version of the upcoming Scorpio N facelift being driven on Indian roads.
The video has been shared by From The Lens on his Instagram page. The video is from Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, and it looks like the SUV is being tested on multiple terrains and weather conditions. The heavily camouflaged Scorpio N SUV is actually the upcoming facelift, and from the video, it looks like the SUV will be getting a new set of alloy wheels.
The video mentions that the interior of the Scorpio N is also going to be different, but we do not get a clear glimpse of the cabin to confirm the same.
In the video, we see the front, rear, and side profile of the SUV clearly. It looks like the current version of the Scorpio N, and it appears that Mahindra is not planning to make many changes to the rear of the SUV. The bumper may see minor tweaks, but the tail lamps are likely to remain the same.
As we move to the front, we see a bumper that looks slightly different from the current version. We would also see a front grille that is designed differently. The lower air dam and the faux skid plate can also be seen here.
It also looks like the test mule of the Scorpio N seen here has a camera on the windscreen. It could be a part of the Level 2 ADAS that Mahindra is planning to introduce in more variants. A radar cover is also seen on the bumper.
Moving in, the video claims that the Mahindra Scorpio N will get new interiors, but we believe Mahindra is likely to make minor changes to the cabin, and they might offer a new colour theme to give it a fresh look. The smaller touchscreen infotainment system in the current version will be replaced with a larger HD unit from the Thar Roxx. This would also mean that the SUV will get better camera clarity, and the SUV will also come with more features than the current version.
The new Scorpio N is also expected to be equipped with a large panoramic sunroof. The current version offers just a single-pane electric sunroof.
We are also expected to see an all-digital instrument cluster, at least in the higher variants, instead of the semi-digital unit on the outgoing model. As mentioned above, ADAS is expected to be introduced in more variants.
It would continue to use the same 2.0L turbocharged petrol (mStallion) and 2.2L turbocharged diesel (mHawk) engines. Manual and automatic transmission options will be offered with both these powertrains. Only select diesel variants will come with 4×4 as an option.
