Mahindra Scorpio-N Imagined As A Premium Luxury SUV: Mahindra Should Make This!

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is one of the most popular SUVs in India. At the time of its launch back in 2022, this SUV was leagues ahead of the Scorpio Classic in terms of design, features, build quality, and safety. However, recently a few renderings of the Scorpio-N imagined as a more luxurious version of itself have been shared online. These renders give the Scorpio-N a beautiful and very sophisticated appearance and make us wonder if Mahindra should actually make it a reality.

Mahindra Scorpio-N imagined as a premium SUV

The current Scorpio-N already looks decent. However, it does not look very premium due to its proportions. Those who have an eye for premium designs note that the Scorpio-N currently on sale is a bit too tall. However, most premium SUVs, along with being tall, are wider as well. This not-so-noticeable change gives them a more appealing proportion.

From the renders, we can note that this particular reimagined Scorpio-N is wider than the standard model. Apart from it, there are a number of design elements that make it look even more premium. At the front, this particular Scorpio-N has been given a set of new and sleeker LED headlights with a dual-projector light setup. Also, it gets eyebrow-styled LED DRLs, which also add to the classy appearance.

Moving to the centre portion of the front fascia, the current slated grille has been replaced with a much larger and more prominent grille. It gets a beautiful chrome honeycomb mesh pattern and a chunky chrome grille surround, which is also a premium touch. On the lower end of the fascia, we can note that the front bumper also looks less aggressive and more classy.

The signature Scorpio-N fog lights with Scorpion-tail-like LED DRLs have been swapped for a more simple yet elegant-shaped LED DRLs with a larger projector fog light setup. Additionally, another element which adds to the sophisticated styling of this particular Scorpio-N is the lower front lip, which gets a substantial amount of chrome garnish. As we all know, a lot of luxury SUVs come with a lot of chrome and brushed silver elements.

Moving to the profile, the rendered Scorpio-N has been given a number of elegant changes. The main highlight is that the side claddings have been painted in body color. A lot of SUVs today are offered with chunky side claddings. However, premium SUVs get a very thin cladding, as painted claddings give the vehicle a more pleasing appearance.

Additionally, the alloy wheel design of this SUV has also been changed and, instead of the standard turbine-style alloy wheels, it has been given a set of classy-looking multispoke alloy wheels, which again is another common characteristic seen on luxury SUVs. There is also a generous amount of chrome garnish on the sides, which also takes the overall design a league above the current Scorpio-N.

Should Mahindra make it a reality?

Currently, the Scorpio-N is in a league of its own, and the company is getting ready to launch the new facelifted iteration of this. The new Scorpio-N facelift will be offered with a set of new headlights, bumpers, new alloy wheels, and other updates on the outside and the inside.

However, seeing these new renderings, we think that most people would agree that Mahindra should indeed make this a reality. Now whether Mahindra Automotive will actually ever make a more premium version of this SUV or not has not been repeated.
