How much did the price increase?

This time the price of different variants of Thar has increased from ₹ 30,500 to ₹ 43,500. The special thing is that there was not a uniform increase on every variant, rather the prices changed according to the engine and drivetrain.

Base model price remains the same

The matter of relief is that the base variant of Thar AXT 1.5L Diesel RWD is still available for ₹ 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). That means entry level buyers have not faced any shock this time.

Which variants were affected?

This time the price increase has happened only in LXT variants. The prices of AXT variants have been kept the same as before. The impact has been seen on both petrol and diesel options in the LXT series.

The least increase of ₹30,500 is for the LXT 1.5L diesel RWD and 2.0L petrol RWD automatic. The highest increase of ₹ 43,500 has been seen in the LXT 2.2L diesel 4WD automatic variant.

New prices of manual variants

Prices have also increased in manual variants. The 2.0L petrol 4WD MT is now priced at ₹15.26 lakh, while the 2.2L diesel 4WD MT is now available at ₹16.08 lakh.

Automatic variants also expensive

Talking about automatic variants, the price of 2.0L Petrol 4WD AT has reached ₹ 16.86 lakh. Whereas 2.2L diesel 4WD AT will now be available for ₹ 17.62 lakh, which has become the most expensive variant.
