Mahindra XUV 7XO launch date announced, powerful entry with triple screen and ADAS

Mahindra’s popular SUV XUV700 is now coming to the market with a new identity. The company is introducing the facelift model of XUV700 with the new name ‘Mahindra XUV 7XO’, this SUV will be officially launched on January 5, 2026. The pre-booking of this car has been started even before the launch, for which customers will have to pay a token amount of Rs 21 thousand. The SUV is likely to hit showrooms in the first quarter of 2026.

The Mahindra XUV700 currently available in the market is priced between Rs 14.13 lakh and Rs 23.71 lakh ex-showroom. However, the price of the new XUV 7XO is expected to increase slightly. According to reports, the entry-level petrol variant may be priced around the current MX petrol variant. While the top-spec AX7L 7-seater diesel automatic AWD variant may be slightly more expensive than the current model. Currently priced at Rs 23.57 lakh, the new fully-loaded XUV 7XO variant may go up to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra XUV 7XO is going to set many new standards in terms of features. This will be Mahindra’s first SUV to feature a triple screen setup. It will include a central touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and a separate display for the front passenger. Apart from this, the SUV will get luxury features like premium Harman Kardon audio system, auto-dimming IRVM, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) entertainment support for rear passengers, panoramic sunroof and electric boss mode.
The XUV 7XO has also been enhanced in terms of safety. As the SUV will be offered with several advanced safety features including an updated level-2 ADAS package, customizable ambient lighting, it will be a stronger option in the mid-size SUV segment.
In terms of design, the looks of the XUV 7XO will be largely based on the XEV 9e. It will get a new front grille, trapezoidal shaped LED headlights, boomerang style DRLs and updated taillamps with hexagonal design elements. Apart from this, the facelift will also feature newly designed aero-optimized alloy wheels, a fully-connected light bar and a revised rear bumper.

Mechanically, however, the XUV 7XO has not undergone any major changes. It will get the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine as before, which produces 200bhp of power. Also the 2.2 liter diesel engine will be available in two tunes namely 155bhp and 185bhp. The AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system will be offered only in the diesel variant. Overall, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is likely to make a big impression in the mid-size SUV segment thanks to its attractive design, sophisticated features and advanced safety technology.
