Mahindra’s new compact diesel SUV will soon make a splash, with looks like Thar

Desk: Mahindra is one of the largest selling company of vehicles in the Indian market. At the same time, the company is also working on new vehicles. In such a situation, Mahindra’s upcoming compact SUV which is built on NU_IQ platform has once again been seen during testing. According to media reports, the SUV seen recently during testing will have an ICE engine. The diesel version has also been confirmed by finding an AdBlue cap inside one of its fuel cylinders.

Talking about the exterior of the SUV, it can get headlights like Thar, which will make its look a bit familiar and powerful. The cabin inside this car is inspired by the Vision S concept. In this you will get features like stylish AC vent, button control, new seat design, three-spoke steering wheel, 60:40 split rear bench and panoramic sunroof.




  • However, the vehicle manufacturer has not yet shared the engine details of this car. But Mahindra has confirmed the ICE engine for the Vision S variant. The NU_IQ platform is modular. Therefore, electric engines can also be installed in the future models.

    Let us tell you, this new SUV can come between 3XO and Scorpio in Mahindra’s lineup. Seeing the demand for an SUV that is more than a meter long, Mahindra is preparing this model to attract people. Production of SUV based on NU_IQ may start in 2027. Whereas left-hand drive variants for international markets will be available in 2028.

    Mahindra may launch the facelift version of its popular SUV Scorpio-N in the second half of 2026. In recent months, this model has been spotted several times during testing, which indicates preparations for its launch. According to the spy pictures surfaced, the new Scorpio-N can be seen with a revised front grille, newly designed LED headlights, updated front bumper, new skid plate and changed fog lamps.

    Major changes are also expected in the cabin. A large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and many premium features can be included in the SUV. Apart from this, there is also talk of getting Level-2 ADAS technology for the first time. However, there is no possibility of any change in the powertrain and the existing engine options may continue.
