News India Live, Digital Desk: Children’s faces light up on hearing the name of pizza, but parents are worried about the flour and unhealthy base outside. In such a situation, ‘Semolina Pizza’ is such an option which is not only wonderful in taste but is also easy to digest. You can also make it without oven, on a simple griddle at home. This weekend, instead of ordering from outside, try this ‘healthy twist’ pizza at home, whose every bite will be filled with purity and love. Ingredients: Pizza will be made from these things present in the kitchen (Ingredients) For pizza base: 1 cup semolina (rava), half cup fresh curd, salt as per taste and a little water. For toppings: finely chopped capsicum, onion, sweet corn, tomato (with seeds removed). Spicy taste: Pizza sauce. (or tomato ketchup), mozzarella cheese (lots of it!), chilli flakes and oregano. For cooking: A little butter or oil. Method: Step-by-Step Prepare the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, curd and salt. Prepare a thick batter by adding water little by little. Keep it covered for 15-20 minutes so that the semolina swells. Make sure the batter is neither too thin nor too thick. Make the base on the pan: Heat a non-stick pan and apply some butter on it. Now add semolina batter and spread it in a round shape (like a pancake, but a little thicker). Cook on low flame until one side turns golden. Layer of sauce and cheese: When the base gets cooked on one side, turn it. Now spread pizza sauce on the stitched side. Add chopped vegetables and lots of mozzarella cheese on top. Let the cheese melt: Cover the pan with a lid and keep the flame very low. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and the base is crispy on the bottom. Serving Touch: Remove the pizza from the pan, sprinkle chili flakes and oregano on top. Cut into hot slices and serve. ‘Secret’ tips for perfect semolina pizza Selection of semolina: If the semolina is thick, grind it lightly once in a mixer, this will make the base smoother. Crispiness: You can add a pinch of baking soda to the batter to make the base crisp, but this is completely optional.
