Big accident due to rope breaking while paragliding in Goa, female tourist along with pilot died, FIR lodged against the company
New Delhi: A major accident occurred during paragliding in Goa on Saturday evening. It is being told that the girl and the paraglider operator died tragically when the rope broke while paragliding. After this incident, the police have registered a case of culpable homicide against the owner of the paragliding company. According to the police, he had given permission to conduct paragliding activity without permission and license. It is being told that the deceased girl was a resident of Pune.
Accident happened during paragliding
According to the information, police said that this incident happened around 4.30 to 5 pm. Police have identified the deceased as 27-year-old Pune resident Shivani Dable and 26-year-old operator Suman Nepali. Shivani Dable had come to visit Goa with a friend. Police say the paraglider carrying the tourist had taken off from the Kerry Plateau and was flying at low altitude. Meanwhile suddenly one of the ropes of the paraglider broke and they collided with different rocks. In this accident, both the arms and legs of the deceased were broken due to which he died.

It is being told that an ambulance was called immediately after the accident and both of them were taken to Goa Medical College (GMC). After being taken there the doctor declared him dead. The bodies of the deceased have been kept safe in the mortuary and postmortem will be conducted on Sunday. In this matter, Mandrem MLA Jeet Arolkar says that he has written a letter to the Tourism Department to stop paragliding activities on the Kerry Plateau, because it is a dangerous area. He said that Kerry Panchayat has also resolved to stop paragliding activities. Arolkar said there are four paragliding operators on the plateau.

In this matter, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tikam Singh Verma says that a case has been registered against Shekhar Raizada, owner of 'Hike 'n' Fly Company, at Mandrem Police Station. He has been accused of knowingly allowing his paraglider pilot to conduct paragliding activities with tourists without obtaining permission from the appropriate authority.
