Horrible road accident in Wayanad, Kerala, bus packed with pilgrims overturns near Thiruneli, 30 people injured

Wayanad: According to a big news received from Kerala, a major road accident has taken place in Wayanad. According to information, a bus loaded with pilgrims from Karnataka overturned at a sharp turn near Thiruneli Junction at 6 am today. The news is that all these pilgrims were returning after visiting Sabarimala.

It is being told that about 30 people have been injured in this terrible accident. However, it was fortunate that no passenger suffered serious injuries in the accident. All the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where their condition is said to be out of danger. At present, this incident has raised many questions regarding the issue of security for the pilgrims going on Sabarimala pilgrimage. Till the time of writing the news, police and local administration are engaged in relief work.

Please note that the doors of Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala have been opened from 15th November. While the virtual queue for darshan is allowing 70,000 pilgrims to secure entry slots each day, an additional 10,000 slots are being made available this time through on-the-spot booking at the counters of Pampa, Erumeli and Vadiperiyar. Now the temple will be kept open for 18 hours every day.

In this regard, the Revenue Department has opened emergency operation centers in Sannidhanam, Nilakkal and Pampa. These centers will deploy 299 personnel here, including a duty magistrate and executive magistrate at Sannidhanam, 144 staff at Pampa and 160 staff at Nilakkal.
