Major action against drugs in Damoh, police seized 120 grams of smack, arrested two accused
The drug trade is rapidly spreading in small towns of the country, which is ruining the young generation and has become a matter of great concern for both the police and the government. In Madhya Pradesh too, the prevalence of expensive intoxicants like MD drugs, smack and ganja has increased rapidly in many cities. Large consignments are being brought to these cities, due to which the situation is continuously worsening. Meanwhile, in Damoh district of the state, the police has achieved a major success against drugs. Taking an important action against drugs, the police have arrested two accused. 120 grams of smack has been seized from these accused, the estimated value of which is estimated to be around Rs 12 lakh.
Disclosing this entire action, Superintendent of Police Anand Kaladagi said that the police had received a strong input regarding drug dealers. Based on this information, the teams of Dehat police station and Sagar Naka police post together made a precise strategy. Police laid a trap near Sardar Patel Over Bridge and reached the spot and arrested two accused. A huge quantity of 120 grams of smack has been recovered from the possession of these accused. One of the arrested accused is a resident of Damoh district, while the other belongs to Sagar district.
The arrested accused may be small links of a big drug racket
According to the police, the surprising thing is that these two accused do not have any previous criminal record. For the first time, he has emerged as a big drug dealer, due to which even the police is surprised. Initial police investigation has revealed that one of the two accused works as a driver, while the other is a plumber. Police believe that both of them are just small links of this big drug racket. This clearly shows that big smugglers are using people from such ordinary backgrounds to deliver drug consignments to the area, so that they can remain safe from the police.
Many important revelations can be made during interrogation
After arresting both the accused, Damoh police produced them in the court and sought their police remand for in-depth interrogation. The court has approved one day police remand on the demand of the police. During this remand, the police will interrogate these accused in detail. It is expected that in this inquiry a big drug gang will be exposed and many important revelations may come to light. The police are confident that on the basis of information received from these accused, they will be able to reach the root of this big drug network. Along with this, the Superintendent of Police also said that Damoh Police is continuously taking strict action against ganja smugglers and efforts to crack down on ganja traders are also going on in full swing.
