Big action in Punjab: Former minister Laljit Bhullar arrested, officer’s death creates political storm

Amritsar . Big news has come out from Punjab, where former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar has been arrested by the police. He has been arrested in the suicide case of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa. Amritsar Police had also registered a case against Laljit Singh Bhullar along with his father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and personal assistant Dilbag Singh in this case. It is alleged that before committing suicide, Randhawa had made serious allegations against Bhullar in a video of harassment, threats and pressurizing him regarding tender allotment.

Randhawa committed suicide by consuming poison in the early hours of Saturday. In the video that surfaced after the incident, he had reportedly said that he took this step due to pressure and fear from the minister. The matter gained momentum when the family of the deceased gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the government. The family had clearly said that until the accused is arrested, they will not allow post-mortem and last rites.

Randhawa’s wife Upinder Kaur had warned that if action was not taken in time, she would take to the streets with her children. After the controversy escalated, Laljit Bhullar resigned from the post of minister on the instructions of Bhagwant Mann. Now after the arrest, this matter has become even more heated and many big revelations are expected in the further investigation.
