Major action taken by administration on death of pregnant woman in illegal hospital, hospital sealed, FIR registered against operator

There was huge public anger on Saturday after the death of Asha Bahu during delivery at Global Hospital and Surgical Center located in Kon police station area. The family members accused the hospital administration of serious negligence and demanded action. According to the information, about 38 year old Seema Devi, resident of Singa-Bagesoti, wife of Devnarayan Asha was working as daughter-in-law. She was admitted to the hospital late at night due to labor pain. According to family members, her first four deliveries were normal, but this time she was advised to undergo surgery as soon as she reached the hospital.
It is alleged that his health deteriorated during the operation and he died due to not getting proper treatment on time, while the newborn is safe. The family members of the deceased allege that after the incident, the doctors and staff of the hospital left the hospital and fled. Angered by this, a large number of villagers reached the hospital and started protesting. On information, Inspector-in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra reached the spot with the police force and controlled the situation.

Let us tell you that District Magistrate Charchal Gaur took seriously the case of death of a woman during delivery in Global Hospital, Kon, which was operated illegally without registration in the district, and directed for immediate investigation and action. According to the information received, Seema’s wife Devnarayan, resident of Singa, Gram Panchayat and Post-Bagesoti, Police Station Kon, had reached Kachnarwa PHC for delivery. After primary examination, he was referred to the Community Health Center through Ambulance 108, but the EMT of the ambulance took the patient to Global Hospital, which was operating without registration, instead of the designated health center.

It is alleged that the woman died during the operation in the hospital, after which the concerned doctors fled from the spot. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, Sub-District Magistrate Obra Vivek Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gulab Shankar Yadav, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kirti Azad Bind and Inspector-in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra jointly reached the spot and conducted the investigation. During the investigation, the body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem and the illegally operated Global Hospital was sealed with immediate effect.
Also, legal action has been initiated against hospital director Naseem Ahmed by registering an FIR in the concerned police station. The administration has made it clear that strict action will continue against illegally running hospitals and health institutions in the district and the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
On this occasion, hundreds of people including Pradhan Sangh District President Lakshmi Jaiswal, Vijayshankar Jaiswal, BJP leader and former block chief Banshidhar, BJP leader Alakh Narayan Shukla, Jokhan Yadav were present. There is an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the area after the incident. At the same time, the villagers have also raised questions on the operation of illegal hospitals and the monitoring system of the health department.
Inspector in-charge Akhilesh Kumar Mishra told that Seema Devi, wife of Devnarayan Bharti, resident of Bagesoti (Singa) police station, Sonbhadra age, about 36 years, had to be delivered at Global Hospital. Seema Devi died after delivery, after that the hospital has been sealed and as per the complaint letter of the deceased’s husband Devnarayan, Medical Officer Nodal Dr. Kirti Anand Bind, case crime number 104/26 section. Necessary action is being taken by registering the case under Section 105/318(4)/BNS and Section 34 of the National Medical Commission Act.
