Major administrative reshuffle in Rajasthan: 178 RAS officers transferred, new ADM and SDM appointed in many districts

Jaipur, June 20. In a major reshuffle in the state administration, the Rajasthan government on Saturday issued orders for transfer and new postings of 178 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers. In this comprehensive list released by the Department of Personnel (A-4), new responsibilities have been assigned to officers working in various departments of the state, development authorities, universities, district administration and local bodies. The orders have been issued by Joint Administration Secretary Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh with the orders of the Governor and all transfers have been implemented with immediate effect.

As part of the reshuffle, Joint Administration Secretary (Chief Secretary Office) Mukesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed Secretary, State Information Commission, Jaipur. Gaurav Chaturvedi, executive director of Rajasthan State Beverages Corporation, has been made managing director of Rajasthan Seed Corporation, while Praveen Kumar Lekhara, joint secretary, public health engineering department, has been appointed registrar of Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur.

The state government has also made changes in several universities and development authorities. Jhalawar Additional District Collector Anurag Bhargava has been made the Registrar of Vardhaman Mahavir Open University, Kota. Meanwhile, Kota University Registrar Rajpal Singh has been appointed Secretary of Udaipur Development Authority. Sirohi Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Muralidhar Pratihar has been made the Registrar of Kota University.

During the administrative reshuffle, Additional Divisional Commissioner of Bikaner Arvind Saraswat has been given the responsibility of Joint Secretary in the Public Health Engineering Department, while Additional Director of Local Government Department Seema Kumar has been made Joint Secretary in the Chief Secretary’s Office. Dr. Vibhu Kaushik has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Minister of Medical and Health Department.

Changes have also been made on a large scale in the district administration. Omprakash Bishroi, Chief Executive Officer, Hanumangarh Zilla Parishad, has been appointed Land Management Officer, Jodhpur. Hanumangarh Additional District Collector Ramratan Saunkaria has been made Additional District Collector, Nagaur, while Dungarpur Additional District Collector Arvind Kumar Jakhar has been appointed Deputy Secretary to the Government, Justice Department, Jaipur. Additional District Collector-II, Jodhpur, Ummedi Lal Meena has been sent as Additional District Collector, Hanumangarh.

Bhilwara Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Chandrabhan Singh Bhati has been made the Registrar of Jayanarayan Vyas University, Jodhpur. Bundi’s Additional District Collector Ram Kishore Meena has been given the responsibility of Additional District Collector-II in Jodhpur, while C.A.D. Bikaner Deputy Commissioner Haritima has been appointed Additional District Collector, Bhilwara. The government has also given new responsibilities to many officers in district councils and development authorities. Chief Executive Officer of Jalore Zilla Parishad, Nand Kishore Rajora has been made the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Bhilwara.

Rakesh Kumar Meena-II, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Jaipur, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Tonk. Pratapgarh Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Parvat Singh Chundawat has been sent as Additional District Collector, Banswara, while Bundi Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ravi Verma has been given the responsibility of Additional District Collector (Sealing) Court, Kota. The list also includes transfers of several additional district collectors (ADM) and sub-divisional officers (SDM). Karauli’s Additional District Collector Hemraj Paridwal has been made the Registrar of Matsya University, Alwar.

Bharatpur Additional District Collector Ghanshyam Sharma has been appointed District Excise Officer, Jaipur, while Jalore Additional District Collector Rajesh Mewada has been made Additional Director, Administrative Reforms Department. Reena, Additional District Collector (Vigilance), Sriganganagar, has been appointed Additional District Collector (City), Bikaner. Under the reshuffle, many subdivisional officers of the state have also been assigned new responsibilities. Amet sub-divisional officer Govind Singh has been made the sub-divisional officer of Ghatol, Banswara.

Kuchaman City Sub-Divisional Officer Vishwamitra Meena has been sent to Mandawa, Jhunjhunu. Sub-Divisional Officer of Makrana, Anshul Singh has been appointed Sub-Divisional Officer of Todaraisingh, Tonk. Aspur sub-divisional officer Babulal Jat has been made Makrana, while Baytu sub-divisional officer Badri Narayan has been made the sub-divisional officer of Dhorimanna, Balotra. Apart from this, many officers have been given new responsibilities in the Administrative Reforms Department, Women and Child Development Department, Municipal Corporations, Rajasthan School Education Council, Revenue Department and other institutions.

The state government has canceled the transfer orders of some officers issued earlier on 13 May 2026 and 15 September 2025 with immediate effect. Also, Mukesh Kumar Mund, Regional Deputy Director, Local Bodies Department, has been given the additional charge of Additional Director, Local Bodies Department, Jaipur along with his present post. The Personnel Department has given clear instructions that all the transferred officers will immediately take charge of their new posts without availing any leave or joining period and will provide the information to the department through online medium. This comprehensive reshuffle is being considered an important step towards increasing efficiency in the state administration and establishing administrative balance in various departments.
