Major attack in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran targets UAE oil tankers, one Indian sailor dies
The Iranian missile attack on two UAE oil tankers ‘Mombasa’ and ‘Al Bahia’ in the Strait of Hormuz has raised international concern. An Indian crew member has lost his life in this attack, while a total of eight people including 6 Indians have been injured.

According to the UAE Defense Ministry, the incident occurred when the tankers were passing through the southern route of the strait in Oman’s territorial waters. The missile attacks caused massive fires in the tankers and caused heavy damage. The crew members showed their presence of mind and controlled the fire, but by then an Indian sailor had tragically died. The condition of 4 injured people is said to be critical.
UAE’s strict warning
UAE has expressed a sharp reaction after this attack. Terming it a violation of international law, the ministry warned that the UAE reserves the right to take retaliatory action to protect its sovereignty and maritime interests. The statement made it clear that every activity that harms regional stability will be given a strong response.
