The bowler stopped bowling in that match after bowling just one over, and was later ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to surgery. He was replaced by Mohammed Siraj, who played one match (against USA) during India’s title-winning campaign.

Rana suffered a ligament strain in his right knee and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. The BCCI medical team has not yet “fixed a firm date” for his return.
