Big bust during NEET exam in Bihar, fake candidates caught, 30 including AIIMS and PMCH students arrested

Lakhisarai. On Sunday, in the NEET UG examination, the gang of Solver Gang had broken into the biometric verification system at the examination centers to carry out a conspiracy related to the examination. This came to light during the police investigation a day after the Solver gang was exposed. With its help, in connivance with the personnel involved in biometric testing, fake candidates were allowed to enter the examination center in place of genuine candidates.

Student Chief Director of Pawapuri Medical College

According to police sources, Ravi Shankar of Rajgir was the main operator of this network, who is a student of Pawapuri Medical College. He is accused of preparing students studying in various medical colleges as solvers and making a strategy to make them appear in the examination. According to the information, this gang searched for such candidates who wanted to pass at any cost to get admission in the medical college.

Patna Medical College student turns out to be biometric staff

This investigation has revealed that Hajipur resident Mayank Kashyap worked as biometric staff on the identity of Ankit Kumar. Mayank Kashyap is a fourth year student of Patna Medical College. Apart from this, it is alleged that through this means the entire gang influenced the biometric verification process and succeeded in getting all the solvers admitted inside the centre. And in this way, fake candidates appeared in the examination in place of the real candidates.

A total of 30 people were arrested

The nine solvers arrested by the police are all medical students. Along with these, a total of 30 members associated with the biometric agency have been arrested. Which includes all the personnel and other members of the gang associated with this case. An original candidate is also included among those arrested. At present, investigation is going on in this matter and police officials believe that as the investigation progresses, the names of the gang’s network and its financial transactions may also be revealed.

Deal for Rs 10 to 12 lakh from each candidate

In the preliminary investigation, a deal was finalized with each candidate for Rs 10 to 12 lakh. This information has been given by Lakhisarai SDPO Shivam Kumar. One to two lakh rupees had already been taken and the remaining amount was to be paid after success in the examination and enrollment in the college. Along with this, the police is now also investigating bank accounts, mobile call details and digital transactions. An FIR has been registered in the police station on the application of Dinesh Kumar Bhagat, City Coordinator of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhisarai. According to the SDPO, the scope of this investigation is being continuously expanded and the contribution of every person involved in the entire racket is being investigated.
