The biggest change is going to happen in the new year regarding credit score reporting. Loan takers will be most affected by this. Till now, companies or agencies providing credit score information usually update the data on a monthly basis. From January 1, 2026, the credit score will be updated on a weekly basis.

With this, even a one-day delay in paying the loan monthly installment (EMI) or credit card bill will be immediately reflected on your credit score. On the other hand, the credit score of those who make timely payments will improve rapidly and it will be easier for them to get the loan.

वाहनों के मूल्य में होगी बढ़ोतरी

There will be an increase in vehicle fees from the first day of the new year. The reason for this is that luxury car manufacturers BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan including JSW MD Motor, Renault and electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy have announced an increase of up to three percent in the prices of their vehicles. Many other companies will increase the charges for their vehicles. Let us tell you that after the cut in GST rates in September, there was a reduction of 8-10 percent in the prices of vehicles.

In view of digital and banking frauds, the rules for digital transactions are going to become strict from January 1. As per government and RBI directives, Unified Payment Interface (UPI) platforms (GooglePe, PhonePe, Paytm and WhatsApp) will now have to follow more stringent KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures. Under the new rules, an additional security layer is being added to the process of mobile number verification and account linking so that fake accounts can be curbed.

पीएम-किसान योजना के लिए नई प्रणाली

Government has introduced new farmer ID system under PM Kisan Yojana. This ID will be mandatory for farmers joining PM Kisan Yojana from January 1, 2026. Farmers’ land, crop, Aadhaar and bank information will be linked to this digital ID. This will bring transparency in providing government benefits to farmers. Existing beneficiaries of the scheme will not be affected by this rule.

2-3 रुपये सस्ती होगी सीएनजी-पीएनजी

The tariff adjustment announced by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) is going to be implemented from January 1, 2026. This will reduce the prices of CNG used in vehicles and PNG used in homes by Rs 2-3 per unit. Consumers across the country will benefit from this reduction. Private sector company Think Gas has announced a reduction in the price of CNG by Rs 2.50 per kg and PNG price by about Rs 3 per standard cubic meter in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab.
