Big decision of Indian Army, will increase the range of supersonic cruise missile ‘BrahMos’ to 800 km.

New Delhi. India is going to take a big decision to further strengthen its military power. According to sources, the Indian Army is also now planning to include a new and highly lethal version of the BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile (BrahMos) in its fleet. The range of this missile will be about 800 kilometers.

Currently the range of BrahMos in India is around 290 to 450 kilometers. This missile with a range of 800 km can hit enemy targets with great accuracy from very far away.

Defense experts believe that the inclusion of this missile will further strengthen India’s position on LAC and LoC. This missile is being completely prepared under ‘Make in India’.

BrahMos is known for its world’s fastest speed (about three times the speed of sound) and accurate aiming. The new version with 800 km range will make it even more deadly. The Indian Army is now deploying the guided version of ‘Pinaka Rocket System’ along with BrahMos. ‘Pinaka’ for short range (75-90 km) and ‘BrahMos’ for long range—this duo gives India a huge advantage in any war situation. The Defense Ministry may soon give formal approval to this proposal. The Indian Air Force and Navy are already testing advanced versions of BrahMos, but this new long-range version will prove to be a ‘game changer’ for the Army.
